life matters

The Pro-Life Team plans and coordinates educational, spiritual, and advocacy events based on Social Catholic Teaching, especially "Life and Dignity of the Human Person."  We develop programs and services to help the parish learn more about abortion, the death penalty, euthanasia, violence against life and more. We are committed to praying for life.

To get involved, contact Susan Gallagher, Mercy Ministry Director, at sgallagher@pophouston.org or 281- 571-4136.

DAY OF PENANCE AND PRAYER

JANUARY 22, 2019

MARY CHAPEL

DAY OF PENANCE AND PRAYER, January 22, 2019 - MARY CHAPEL

We remember the tragic anniversary of Roe v. Wade on Jan. 22, 1973. On this day, the Supreme Court decision removed all restrictions on abortion in 50 states in the USA. We remember this day with Penance, Prayer, and Adoration in the Mary Chapel in reparation for the more than 60 million abortions performed in the last 46 years. Join us and pray for life. Please sign up and encourage others to sign up to pray, as well. We must cover all of the hours during the period.

TEXAS RALLY FOR LIFE

JANUARY 26, 7:00 AM

Bus leaves from Prince of Peace

TEXAS RALLY FOR LIFE, January 26, 2019, 7:00 AM - Bus leaves from Prince of Peace

Join thousands of Texans at the Texas Rally for Life on Saturday, January 26 at the Capitol in Austin to show the media and our elected officials that Texas is PRO-LIFE. The Rally will commemorate the 46th anniversary of the tragic Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision in 1973, which made abortion legal throughout the US. The bus leaves from Prince of Peace at 7:00 AM, and leaves Austin the same day by 5:00 PM. We will join other parishes for a sendoff Mass at St. Bartholomew the Apostle in Katy at 8:30 AM. Bring a sack lunch to eat on the bus. We will stop for dinner on the way back. Registration is required for a seat on the bus.

If you or someone you know has been affected by abortion directly or indirectly, you may receive healing through the Sacrament of Reconciliation and/or through Project Rachel.
