Students are expected to come on time every week with their necessary supplies.
Parents are expected to come every week either as a volunteer or as a participant in our weekly Parent Cafe Session.
Because our Catholic faith is best learned and practiced within families, the Church calls parents to be the first and most important teachers of their children.
To help parents teach the faith to their children, we offer weekly Parent Cafe Sessions, a time when parents can learn how to pass on their faith to their children through presentations, small group discussions, as well as take-home resources.
It is our hope that our Parent Cafe sessions can address the decades of large numbers of young people leaving the faith (see statistics here).
If you have a conflict that prevents you from attending Parent Cafe sessions, please contact the appropriate staff member or volunteer to discuss other options.
Each month, we have Alabanza y Adoración, a family-friendly holy hour where parents with young children are always welcome to experience Eucharistic Adoration.
The first half of the evening will be filled with live worship music followed by a reflection and times of silence.
Stay for all or part of the hour that you and your family can handle!
Please see the Alabanza y Adoración schedule here.
Anyone who is a practicing Catholic in good standing, knowledgeable about the teachings of the Catholic Church, and willing to teach others about the faith can volunteer.
A catechist commits every month during the school year to teach young children about the basic principles and beliefs of the Catholic faith, helping them grow in their understanding and relationship with God.
Every month from 6-7:45 pm during the school year (September to April)
Volunteering as a catechist allows you to share your knowledge and love for the faith, positively impacting the lives of young learners and helping them develop a strong foundation in their spiritual journey.
If you are 18 years old and above, our archdiocese requires all adult volunteers to complete safe environment training.
This short one-hour online training teaches people how to create a secure and protected environment for everyone, especially children, by recognizing and preventing potential risks or harm.
